Cellceutix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (OTCBB: CTIX), located outside of Boston in Beverly, MA, is an emerging bio-pharmaceutical company in the business of developing small molecule therapies in areas of unmet medical need. Their primary efforts are in cancer and inflammatory disease, but also have another product in the pipeline that is being formulated to treat autism. Cellceutix flagship product, Kevetrin, is being developed to treat cancers that are resistant to standard treatments. Recently, Cellceutix has announced some exciting results in animal models of multi-drug resistant lung cancer.

Their business strategy is well-described by their company slogan “Compounds for Cures.” Cellceutix has kept a “low profile” as they have been developing their products with the ethical philosophy of their products alone will help patients and this will translate into rewards for shareholders. By biotechnology standards, their pipeline of products is moving forward rapidly through an experienced management and development team with years of experience in researching, developing and marketing pharmaceuticals. By “Over The Counter Bulletin Board” standards, their ethics are virtually unparalleled.

To quote the Cellceutix CEO, George Evans:
Biotech companies have a tendency to talk excitedly about a lot of very complicated science. The excitement is, of course, genuine as the companies see great promise in what they are doing. But how do we understand what it all means? Just like a lot of other companies, we are doing a lot of very complicated experiments and coming up with a lot of dense data and great graphs. And we really like what we see. I think in our case, however, it is easy to explain what it all means. First, it means that we’ve accomplished a lot in a short time. And second it means that our lead compound, Kevetrin, is showing great promise in treating tumors that are otherwise very difficult to treat. This means hope for patients and value for shareholders.

Cellceutix must have some great news coming out. They maintain a very low profile (which I find completely impressive), but I see that they posted information on their website today about their compound for autism and I gotta believe that it is worthy of press. Understand that I have spoken with their Chief Financial Officer several times now and they are an impressive developmental company. Their product that they are developing for autism is one-of-a-kind. There are products out there to treat the actions that result from having autism, but there is not a product on the market that actual treats the root cause. Cellceutix is developing this completely unique pharmaceutical. This goes without mentioning, Kevetrin, their flagship product for the treatment of cancer that is also innovative. I will go more in these things and a lot more about Cellceutix daily as I continue to learn more. Very interesting company, nice share structure and a chart that is holding a base very well. This pps will move very easily with just a little volume. More to come.....

The press release that will be issued tomorrow is now up on the Cellceutix website. We bring it to you first!! Cellceutix is indeed making strides in the development of KM-391 and autism research. The press release as posted on www.cellceutix.com:

KM-391 Showing Significant Improvements On Key Parameters In Animal Studies

BEVERLY, MA - March 29, 2010 - Cellceutix Corporation (OTCBB: CTIX), a bio-pharmaceutical company that develops small molecules to treat cancer and inflammatory disease, today announced positive results in an animal study of its recently acquired autism compound, KM-391. In this carefully conducted study, KM-391 was given orally over 90 days to groups of rats at two dosage levels. At each dosage level, KM-391 demonstrated significant improvements in the test animals when compared to both the “no treatment” group and the “active control” (fluoxetine) group on the parameters of brain plasticity, serotonin levels and behavioral function. These parameters were selected as important indicators of the effect needed to successfully treat autism.

"We are extremely excited about the data on KM-391 and the potential for the compound in this area of urgent medical need," said George Evans, CEO of Cellceutix. "Diagnoses of autism are rising dramatically and the disease takes a terrible toll on families. There is a critical need for new treatments for autism and we are pleased to be part of the effort to find them."

"Research on autism has been difficult because there has been no reliable animal model," said Dr. Krishna Menon, Chief Scientific Officer of Cellceutix. "Fortunately, we were able to tap into some cutting edge research to find a promising model for our study."

The press release that I mentioned yesterday it has been released as of 6 am EST this morning. We shall see if this will get some more publicity for Cellceutix. My discussions with Leo have revealed that not only is the float relatively low, but the majority of the float is held tightly by investors that know a lot about Cellceutix and are holding their shares with a very optimistic attitude toward the future.

CTIX is getting some nibbles today. What we want to see is the bid start to pull its way up and close the big spread. This is a low float play, so big spreads aren't that uncommon. I like to see that it is getting hits on the ask at this point, though. Good sign.

Nice day for Cellceutix. CTIX had only hits on the ask today as it finally chewed through the .48's and eventually hit .55. The bid was even brought up a little bit as CTIX closed the day with the bid at .29 and the ask at .55. Volume picked up a little bit for an average day with almost 5,000 shares traded. These are all good things for CTIX. I think that once the bid is brought up even more that this will move a little faster as people will be more encouraged to buy into it. I think this is still a solid opportunity with a very good company.

April is National Autism Month. It is a bit of press like this that makes the work that Cellceutix is doing so important.

Alarming Increase in Autism Brings Together Hundreds of Parents, Researchers and Clinicians From Around the World to Baltimore This Weekend to Discuss Current Research and Treatment Options

The Autism Research Institute states that many of those diagnosed with autism have underlying medical disorders that are amenable to treatment.

ATLANTA, April 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently released new estimates that one in every 110 children (1 in 70 boys) is diagnosed with autism. Autism has become more common in our children than cancer, diabetes and AIDS combined. Autism affects children from all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds and places a tremendous economic burden on affected families and society at large, costing up to $3.2 million per child for a lifetime of care and over $35 billion in annual societal cost.

The Autism Research Institute (ARI) was the first organization to call attention to the alarming increase in autism and today has become the hub of a worldwide network of parents and professionals who are seeking answers to what has caused this dramatic increase, and what can be done to help restore health to those affected. According to Kenneth Bock, MD, Medical Director of ARI, new research is challenging the long-held view that autism is an incurable genetic disorder. "What we are discovering is that those with autism often times have underlying medical disorders that impair the neurological, gastrointestinal, metabolic and immune systems, and when these problems are treated the symptoms of autism often improve. These medical treatments work synergistically with behavioral and educational programs to provide the best possible outcomes," stated Bock.

On April 9-11 hundreds of autism experts, parents, and professionals from around the world will gather in Baltimore to attend the Autism Research Institute's Defeat Autism Now! Conference held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. For more information go to www.defeatautismnow.com or to schedule an interview please contact Lyn@autism.com

The Autism Research Institute was founded in 1967 by the late Dr. Bernard Rimland and is the only autism organization specifically focused on biomedical treatments for the disorder. ARI is the only national non-profit autism organization to receive the esteemed "Four Star Award" by Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management.

Cellceutix CEO, George Evan, made a video addressing the advances that Cellceutix is making with KM-391, their compound for the treatment of autism and Kevetrin, their product for treatment drug-resistant cancer lines. People keep letting Cellceutix slide under the radar, but when their compounds move forward into different levels of clinical studies, this stock price is going to move.

As, I have stated before, Mr. Evans is very "low key". This is pretty evident in the video. I will write a little more about some facts that I found out about Cellceutix recently. I did not realize that they had a drug that they were told they could move forward with overseas, but chose not to so they could stay focused on Kevetrin and KM-391. Now you tell me....how many pharmas would do that? They are confident that they are going to be onto something very, very big here in the United States with their products.
